Project Overview
Frank’s Pizza was looking to drive business during Covid-19. To that end, they decided to create some social media marketing materials. My company was contracted to conceptualize, execute, and deliver the project.
I created three videos for Frank’s Pizza. The main video (seen above) was to tell the Frank’s Pizza story of how its owner worked his way up in the pizza business from a simple store sweeper to a restaurant owner, and how he uses the knowledge he learned on his way up to make tasty pizza and run a great shop.
I decided it would be interesting for him to tell us his story while he actually made pizza. I chose to shoot that in slow motion to emphasize the care he puts into it. I also used social proof in the form of Yelp reviews, which I turned into motion graphics. And then, at the end of the piece, all the different types of delicious pies on Frank’s menu get to be on display. I tied them together at the end with Frank’s logo animated along with relevant business information.
This project required significant post-production infrastructure to store and edit the footage. It was all shot as RAW and at high frame rates, which made the storage requirements orders of magnitude greater than a typical project of this sort. I used a proxy workflow in Adobe Premiere for editing.
